Job in modern language verse 1-3

Many Years ago in the Middle East, near present day Jordan, there lived a man named Job. He was a righteous man who was above reproach in everything he did. He was marked by a reverent awe of God, and power to continually turn away from evil.

Over the course of his life he was blessed with seven sons and three daughters. He also was the owner of seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, one thousand oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a multitude of servants. So that he was the most distiguished man in all the east.
